THOMAS LAWRENCE SMITH December 16, 1927 – May 3, 2014 It is with sadness we announce that on Saturday morning, May 3, 2014 at the age of 86 years, Thomas passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side. With his passing, this world has lost a truly great man, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather. Thomas is survived by his loving wife Verona Smith of 64 years; children Victor Smith, Sandra Chatain (Frank), Owen Smith (Barb), Candace Dziver (Dennis), Barry Smith (Kelly Wach), Wendy Salo (Murray), Jeff Smith (Karen Leitner;, 15 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren; as well as sister Gwen Holinaty (Frank) of North Vancouver, BC. In accordance with Dad’s wishes, no formal service is planned. A private gathering will take place with immediate family.
