Mrs. Burns was one of the most fun and effective teachers I ever knew. I will forever remember her “leaping into the room” literally, to teach us about gerunds. I trace my love of writing in part to her influence. She had such a joyful spirit and I am sure she will be missed. My condolences to all the Burns family.
