Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer it is with deep sorrow that our beloved Kathy passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Mb at the age of 56 years. Left to survive Kathy are her husband Dennis Scherban; son Kyle (Amanda); daughter Jennifer (Michael), grandchildren Liam, Donovan, Mikyla, Aalyha, Brianna, Gage and Adam; mother Beryl, brothers Tim and Eric, Sisters Val, Monda and Binda; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; friends; dogs Comet and Jade; cat Nownow. She was predeceased her father Raymond. Kathy was born in Winnipeg, MB August 21, 1961 She was a proud Metis woman who helped many people at work, in the community and volunteered. She was kind hearted soft spoken and will be dearly missed and loved by many and never forgotten. On Friday, January 12, 2018 Kathy’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue with spiritual leader Anthony Niiganii presider.
