Peacefully on Sunday, May 22, 2016, at Riverview Health Centre, Julie Shumski passed away with family present by her side, at the age of 90 years. Remaining to forever cherish Julie’s memory are her children, Louise (Mickey) MacDonald, Joyce (Jeff) Maw and Bruce (Debbie) Shumski; grandchildren, David (Jayne), Darryl, Jennifer (Shawn), Jason (Jennifer), Jody (Darren), Alyssa (Kyle), Ryan and Curtis, and nine great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, John. Mom was born on September 28, 1925 and spent many years working at the Sears catalogue order desk. She loved travelling and her cottage at Grand Beach. A reception will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 between 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. in Wojcik’s Reception Centre in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. A special thank you to the doctors and staff at Riverview Health Centre Ward 3E for their help and compassion during her stay.
