I fondly remember when John arrived at a party dressed up like Reba MacIntyre, singing at the top of his lungs. Omigosh, he had such a sense of humor and a love of good clean fun! John encouraged his family and friends to 'be happy' and I'm certain he's watching over them with great pride and a wide smile.

As a child growing up in both Brandon and Winnipeg with the McKenzie clan, and so often sleeping over to make the most of the weekends with my best friend Joh, I so appreciated the strong, quiet and reassuring presence of John about the house--quiet except when he'd bellow downstairs to wake us up to the most amazing fry-ups for brekkie! Treated like princesses! My heartfelt sympathies to you all, Joh, Norma, and the whole family for your loss.
