NOVEMBER 15, 1958 – APRIL 27, 2023
Our hearts are broken with the sudden passing of Jim.
Born in Kamsack, Sask, his family moved to Winnipeg when he was a young boy and settled in Elmwood where he made many lifelong friends.
A hard worker all his life, he retired from the City of Winnipeg in 2014 with over 33 years of service. A new chapter, he married Pat that October. Busy as always, he took a part-time job at Notre Dame Arena until March 2023.
Jim’s passion was his Triumph motorcycle and riding with his buddies. Collecting hot wheels as a hobby brought him much joy. A loyal friend who always extended a helping hand.
Pre-deceased by parents Herb and Anne and brother David (Anita).
Survived by former spouse and special friend Pat, stepdaughter Melanie Bernas, cousin/friend Bryan Yerex (Elsie) and many friends and relatives.
A celebration of life will be held May 20th at the St. James Legion from 1-3 pm. Please bring memories to share. In lieu of flowers: Ride for Dad or War Amps
