To Irene;s beloved family, my sincerest condolences. Irene was a wonderful, inspiring feminist friend. Many years of conversations, food, tai chi and laughter are cherished memories. May the memories you shared with Irene give you comfort and the love she generously gave.

I'm so sorry, Bill. Irene was a force of nature, and even here in Thunder Bay, I feel as though some of the air has left the room. You will be in my thoughts and prayers, old friend. Agnew Johnston

Bill, Fiona and Graeme and families Marlene and I were shocked and saddened to learn of Irene's passing. We both enjoyed our friendship over many years, including hearing many stories about their two kids and grandkids. Irene was a wonderful human being with an incredible capacity to find solutions for the people who she worked on behalf for. She will be missed by many. Iain and Marlene

We have just found out about Irene ‘s passing. Our deepest condolences to the family. Irene was a colleague of mine with the Ontario Human Rights Commission. Although I worked out of the Timmins office we had a lot of laughs at our staff meetings. As a Human Rights Officer she always dealt with people fairly. I was sad to hear about her health problems later in life as she was so dedicated to taking care of her health all her life. Until we meet again my friend.
