I was so sad to read of Harold’s passing but what a wonderful life he had! I will always picture him leaning on a rake while chatting with my dad (also leaning on a rake!) across the back alley in Dauphin. I feel like my last connection to my own father is now gone. They were good friends. And what a privilege it was for me to know your dad. I’m glad I had a chance to visit with him a little in the last couple of years. His clear memory, great stories, and wonderful “twinkle” will live on in my heart. Thank you for the beautiful tribute in the newspaper, and for the love your dad (and all of you!) have brought to my own life.
