GORDON “GORDIE” SYMYNYSHENRegretfully, we announce the passing of Gordon “Gordie” Symynyshen of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at the age of 73 years. He was born in Red Lake, Ontario on August 18, 1942.Gordie is survived by his uncle Paul (Val) Symynyshen of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario; auntie Doris Chonstke of Winnipeg and numerous cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Peter and Victoria of Winnipeg.On Monday, March 14, 2016, Gordie’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue, with Rev. Fr. Harry Chuckry, presider. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Silver, Manitoba.
