Uncle Gerry was a man who wore many hats. When I knew him best as a youngster I recall he was a travelling salesman. He had a large stash of science fiction novels and I read every one in the summer of '69. It was very apropos for the moon landing that year and his stories of area 51 when he was in the air force. Soft spoken and always with a twinkle in his eye and a quick wit. He will be missed.

Uncle Gerry was great at showing people around, no matter what city he had moved to. He also loved to tease...He had a loving heart and loved golf. No matter what job he was doing, he did his best. He was an awesome man. He died the same day as his brother Ovila...That says a lot..The two are together again.
