ELVA RENETTA MARIA DOERKSEN (nee SAWATSKY) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Elva Doerksen after a lengthy illness with Alzheimer’s on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Oakview Place at the age of 95 years. Elva will be lovingly remembered by her son Gerald (Jo-Anne); daughter Diane Loesch; grandchildren Andrea (Perry), Carrie, Bryan (Karin), David (Ashley), Kevin (Vivian), Stephane and Patrick; great-grandchildren Ashton and Brent Schoffner; Annika and Noah Doerksen; and Graham Gaden; brother Les (Jeanine); sister Verna Pauls; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husbands Louis Gaden and Frank Doerksen; son Wayne Doerksen; son-in-law Bob Loesch; numerous brothers and sisters. Elva devoted her whole life to her family. She was a loving wife, great mother and wonderful cook. She loved music and loved to dance. A private family service has already taken place. The family thanks the staff at Oakview Place for the superior care she received over her eight year stay.
