Clayton Liebrecht

?Surrounded by his family, Clayton Liebrecht passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital on June 8, 2026, at the age of 68, after a silent and courageous fight with pulmonary fibrosis.

?He is lovingly remembered by his spouse, Donna Bujan; his stepchildren, Trevor McCloy (Heather) and Travis Bujan (Amy); his sister, Gerry Sheflo (Glen); and numerous extended family members and friends. Gerry was far more than just a sister to Clayton. During a childhood that wasn’t always easy, she stepped up to be a true mother figure to him. She provided the unconditional love, stability, and guidance he needed, playing a vital role in shaping him into the incredible, big-hearted man he became.

?Clayton was truly someone you could never forget; his flair for life was simply great. Professionally, he spent years on the open road as a long-haul trucker, and in the past, he also worked doing irrigation for golf courses. He had a deep, unwavering loyalty to GMC vehicles, proudly owning two GMC Sierra Stepsides over the years. When he eventually ended up with a Chevy Silverado, he absolutely hated it—a fact made all the more hilarious considering it is essentially the exact same truck as his beloved Sierra.

?His absolute favourite place to be was his sanctuary, affectionately known as the “Garage Mahal.” Clayton could often be found out there for days at a time, happily immersed in various projects and working his way through bottles of rum. He was the ultimate garage guy—whether you needed a tool for an oil change, replacing your brakes, a home renovation, or a woodworking project, Clayton had it in the Garage Mahal, and he was always ready to lend a hand.

?Many of those garage projects stemmed from a love for woodwork that he shared with Donna. Together, they created countless knick-knacks that adorned their yard—pieces that Donna was always playfully trying to give away to anyone who stopped by. Their shared creativity and hard work even earned them the title of “best-decorated yard” in the neighbourhood one year.

?He was the life of the party, famous for his quick wit, the kind of brilliantly stupid jokes that left you shaking your head, and his legendary solo air-piano performances. He loved dancing to his favourite song, Love Shack by The B-52s, much to Donna’s dismay. Clayton and Donna also loved to travel together, with Las Vegas serving as their favourite vacation spot to get away and enjoy life.

?Above all, Clayton was a man who loved unconditionally. When he met Donna, he showed her what real love truly meant, and she loved him with all her heart in return. He was her everything, the piece that completed her, and they truly did everything together. Navigating life without her best friend will be an incredibly tough journey, but the love they shared was a once-in-a-lifetime bond.

?He stepped into the role of a father figure without a second of hesitation, embracing two crazy North End boys and loving them as his own. His devotion to his family was unwavering; when Donna suffered a severe concussion, Clayton was her constant support, steadfastly driving her to every single appointment for years.

?Clayton changed his family for the better. He leaves behind a legacy of immense generosity, unconditional love, and perfectly timed air-piano solos. He will be deeply missed. Bye—not forever, just for now.

?A Celebration of Life to share memories and raise a Rum and Pepsi press (with water, never straight Pepsi) to a great man will be held on Monday, June 15, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. at the 4 Crowns, 1030 McPhillips Street.
