CATHERINE JESSIE SLIGHT Born in Keewatin, Ontario on May 13, 1915 to William and Agnes Mckie. On short notice, on Sunday, December 28, 2014, with her son, granddaughter and great granddaughter by her side Gramma, moved on. “Mickey” is survived by sons Pete (Julie) of Innisfal, Ontario and Terry (Sandra) of Winnipeg. She will be missed by granddaughters Kathryn (Mike) of Winnipeg, Tara (Sean) of Bradford, Ontario; grandsons Terry (Jamie) of Winnipeg, Ryan (Allison) of Toronto; great grandchildren Eva, Vera, Rayne, Easton and LoLa; brother-in-law Don; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Thomas “Pete” Slight in 1983; and siblings Bill, Polly, Dave, Gordon, Annie and Allan. As per Mom’s wishes there will be no service and a request that memorial donations to go to Cancer Care and Research.
