Obituaries

On behalf of my brother Steve, my wife Connie and myself I would like to extend our condolences to Cathy’s c;lose family and friends. I have many fond memories of time spent with Cathy and Al during their time in Markham north of Toronto. There were many visits and meals together, which included my parents Lil and Russ Nixon. There were a few libations and much laughter. I have not forgotten Al’s quick wit and sense of humour, Cathy’s gorgeous smile, infectious laugh and unending kindness. They were greatly missed when they moved back out west. Cathy, rest in peace, you have had a life well lived. God bless.

To my best friend Cathy. I have lost my best friend and no one can ever take her place. We loved to go for lunch,pizza or something more extravagant. Tea at her apartment at Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts was a regular almost weekly visit, often with a treat from Tim Hortons . We always said her cup of tea tasted 100% better than Tims. We talked almost daily until her move to Oakview Nursing Home. Visiting her at Oakview was something I will always remember. Her face lit up when we arrived. She joked with Ed , & Cathy had a comeback for every shot he took at her.I never wanted to leave her. I gained so much knowing Bill & Linda became our friends .Thank you to both of you for the support you gave us. I will never have another friend like Cathy & will always remember our antics at Deer Lodge as Volunteers. Rest in Peace Rae & Ed

To my beautiful Aunty Cathy. You will be missed by many..you contagious smile will always hold a special place in my heart and memories. Your kindness. humor..Watching you and mom giggle until.. hehe RIP Aunty. I'm sure Uncle Al met you with open arms. Until we meet again. I love you.
