Hi I did not know her but saw her work on Etsy. I tried to contact her about a necklace and found out she passed away. I feel so sad she passed away so young and was so talented. I would have treasured one of her pieces and being a fellow animal lover myself I regret I did not get to know her.

I remember the first day you and Zenon moved in. We couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. We will greatly miss the countless talks and stories we shared over the fence while visiting with you and the dogs. We'll remember your love for sitting out back relaxing and tending to the garden. We'll remember your love of animals (even the raccoon). Your personality and character will never be matched and won't be forgotten.

We met Vicki at our son's wedding reception, what a wonderful couple. We immediately liked you both. Rest in Peace Vicki and Zenon, remember you now have your own Angel watching over you.

I feel lucky to have known Vicki and to have had the opportunity to share in the zest she had for life. Though I didn't know her well I have had so many memories and funnies spring to mind this past week that made me smile. A remarkable and memorable woman she will not be forgotten.

I worked with Vicky 10 years ago at Blasted Art. Only seen her a few times since. Fun to work with and more fun when I'd run into her after hours. Very sad. I always remember her saying in her english accent 'me mommy' and how she loved Marilyn Manson and hated The Guess Who. We'll miss you.......

Vicky was one of those people that knocks you off your feet if you let her. She had a way of speaking that could shock you into submission, but I truly respected her for her sheer tenacity in fighting that awful disease. She was more than that to many, but she did 'win' in the end. It didn't. I looked forward to a daily 'like' on my facebook status updates from Vicky (who was so hyper aware of what people needed) or the one-liners she would post asking for a 'liver if we could spare one'...unbelievably funny and I didn't even have the pleasure of being extremely close to her. The times I did meet with her and Zenon, she did leave a mark. She will always leave a mark. Goodbye tough chick!

I met Vicki a couple years ago and like my Brother, has left this world much too early due to this stupid disease. You are and always will be a very funny, positive and super beautiful being who 'got it' - more people should learn of this great lady - yes, she did bring an owl into her home because he was sick! I wish we spoke more Miss but will remember you for your partying attitude about life - wonderful. Let's not forget that essence of Vicki. Much respect and sympathy to You Vicki, Zenon and your families, E.

Although I wasn't as close to Vicky as some of you I did have the pleasure of running into her on many occasions throughout the years. She was the type of person you always felt good running into. Just recently I was wandering from a party in the North End/Point Douglas at 3 in the morning and ran into Vicky and Zenon. They had me over for a visit with them and the dogs. Looking back now I'm so glad I got to spend that time with her. Geez, gonna miss seeing her around. Take care Vicky!!

I liked Vicki from the moment I met her. It was impossible not to. She had an aura of fun that could command a room and brighten everyone's day instantly. Behind that infectious, mischievous smile there was genuine kindness. Beautiful, talented, with a great sense of humour, this world is indeed a poorer place without her in it. No one who met Vicki will ever forget her.

To my darling sweet Vicky, life has been so unfair to us as we should have been together for all of my 37 years, but unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control we were kept apart. I have loved getting to know you over the last few years and really enjoyed our time that we spent together although it was not long enough. I am heartbroken that you have been taken away from us at such an early stage in your life, we should have had many more years to get to know each other. Even though we were so far apart I have spoken to you through emails and instant messages every day for the last few years so the last few weeks have been really hard for me not being able to speak to you. I still checked in most days to let you know I was thinking of you, you are forever on my mind and I am sure that you always will be. My only comfort at the moment is knowing that at last you are reunited with granda Dick who loved and missed you every day of his life. Have a drink with the old man for me and tell him I am sending my love, I will love and miss you forever angel but I'm sure you are in a much better place now. I will look for the brightest star in the sky every night and know that you are there looking down on us. One final kiss and a great big hug coming your way dear sister until we meet again. Lots of love your sister Beverley xxxxxxxxxTo Aunty Vicki We love you up to the sky and back down again. Miss you loads. Lot of love, hugs and kisses Ellie, Daniel, Millie and Jacob xxx Sleep tight angel xxxxxxxx

Vicki came into my life like a breath of British mayhem in the late 1980’s. We had both gotten a job working at the Acropolis Restaurant in Winnipeg while still in out teens. I will never forget greeting this girl at the door with a platinum blonde crimped ponytail sitting on the very top of her head, bright red eye shadow and black lined red lips. She would later confess that she’d toned it down for the occasion and thought she looked “rather posh.”I didn’t know much about her yet but I knew instantly that I was going to like this girl, as indeed did anyone who met Vicki and her unmistakable, infectious spark of life and mischievous laughter. That very same day, she offered me a ride home and proceeded to lead me to the largest flat black landboat I’d ever seen in my life. Within minutes of starting the beast up she backed into and crunched a row of cars. We looked at each other momentarily frozen and burst into laughter. And so a lifelong friendship was sealed.Over the following decade that saw us cross from our teens and right through the changes of our twenties, Vicki was my sister and my constant companion. Even now through these difficult days, I cannot help but smile remembering the many misadventures like nearly succumbing to hypothermia on an all day Christmas shopping binge in the deep freeze in an unheated car; the 8 hour dinner-a-thons never running out of things to talk about, the gatherings and sleep-overs across a series of “single girl” apartments – the nights before and the mornings after. As our twenties mellowed into our thirties, so did our lust for misadventure - somewhat. Though the all day and all night adventures subsided I always knew that we would be present for all of the important moments in each other’s lives. I was honoured to take part in Vicki’s wedding to Zenon and had so hoped she could take part in mine. Vicki’s presence in my life has left an indelible mark on my heart, my worldview, my character. She has physically left this life far too early, but she is forever with me.
