Tzena May Vaughan
(nee Simpson)
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tzena, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend. Tzena passed away peacefully after a courageous battle of cancer, surrounded by her family on October 30th, 2024, at the age of 52 years. Left to mourn Tzena and cherish her fond memories are her loving husband Tim, son Tyler, sister Clare (Steve Rubin), Maureen Simpson, brother Cliff Simpson and nephew Sam Rubin. Tzena was predeceased by her parents Cliff and Joan Simpson.
Tzena was a devoted wife to Tim, whose partnership reflected a bond forged though love and unwavering support for 18 wonderful years. Together they created a life filled with laughter, love and mutual respect – a true testament to the depth of their affection.
Her son Tyler was the apple of her eye. Tzena’s nurturing nature and guidance along with Tim’s shaped Tyler into the wonderful person he is today. Her legacy lives on through him and he carries forward the passion and kindness that defined Tzena’s character.
Tzena’s life was further enriched by her many friendships, especially her best friend since kindergarten Carrie (Novakoski) Wojcik. She truly was an honorary sister in all respects. Tzena considered Carrie, Art, Brayden and Taylor Wojcik her extended family. A true bond of trust, laughter, love and joy.
Tzena worked at IG Wealth Management until her passing. She touched the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Tzena had a few loves, none of which was greater than for her son (Tyler), but she loved collecting nail polish and a healthy shoe collection.
Tzena will be profoundly missed and lovingly remembered by all those who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will continue to touch the lives of many. Rest in peace until we meet again.
A special thank you to her friends Carrie Wojcik, Nicole Jawa, Linda Blair and others for their support and kindness shown to Tzena during these trying days. An extended thank you to those who cared for Tzena at Riverview Health Centre Palliative Care Unit.
The family wishes to thank all who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time. A memorial service will be held in Garson, MB on November 6th at 10am.
In lieu of flowers, donations to CancerCare, and/Palliative care are asked.
