When he returned home from the war, Stan then had an amazing and interesting 50-year career in the Taxi business owning many cabs with Duffy’s taxi and later with Unicity, retiring at the age of 70 with many friends and many stories.   In 1954, Stan married the love of his life, Maureen, and they started their family. He was a wonderful and loving husband who cherished his “Moe”- and his family. They had been married over 61 years.   Stan will be forever remembered for his positive, loving look on life, always a smile and always happy- everything was “beautiful”. He was a wonderful dad and grand-dad. He was “Mr. Cleaver” and was known as “Dad” to all the West End gang (Gordon Bell) of kids who were friends of his children and were a true extended family and still gathering together as family to this day. Stan built a large family cottage in West Hawk Lake in the early 80’s with the help of the West End gang and they all spent many great years at the cabin and have many wonderful memories and many stories that be endearing to all for a life time. Stan was a good man and will truly be missed and was loved by all.   A celebration of Stan’s life will be held at a later date.   Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
A light from our lives is gone, A voice we all loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our hearts Which never can be filled. God gave us a beautiful husband, friend and father, and now we see his empty chair We’ll feel his presence there.  The memories of his laughter,  His warm and loving smile,  His eyes so full of happiness,  His heart that of a child.  Memories are forever  Be they laughter or of tears,  Memories we will treasure forever For the rest of our years. Good Bye, until we meet again.
