With heavy hearts and deep love, we share the passing of Sandra Marie Cotterell (née Bazuk) at the age of 70, on December 15, 2025, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Sandra was gentle, loving, quietly stoic, and deeply courageous. She carried strength in a soft way — never loud — but always present. Her love for her family was boundless and steady, and it showed in everything she did.

She found joy in nature and gardening, and she had a precise eye for detail. Whether preparing a thoughtful gift or hosting a family gathering, Sandra made sure everything was just right, because what mattered most to her was that everyone felt loved, welcomed, and at ease. That was her language of care.

Sandra also had a quick wit that could catch you off guard, followed by laughter that warmed the room. She loved to laugh, loved basketball, and cherished the simple moments spent with those she held close.

She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Dale; her daughters Arianne (Daniel) and Julia (and her beloved dog, Molly); her grandchildren Dominic and Daniella; her niece Karly (Brad) and their children Kenley and Landon; her nephews Sam and Steven; and her sister Debbie and brother-in-law Harv.

Sandra held a lifelong friendship with her two best friends, Ruth-Anne and Kinnon, whose enduring presence and love meant the world to her. The family extends heartfelt gratitude to them for the care, loyalty, and comfort they gave, and for being by her side to the very end.

She was predeceased by her father John Bazuk, her mother Mary Bazuk, her sister Linda Bazuk, and her nephew Andrew Bergeron.

Sandra’s love was quiet but powerful, and it will continue to live on in the care she showed, the laughter she shared, and the deep sense of home she created for her family. She will be missed beyond words and loved beyond measure.
