I had the honour of knowing Ron for about 10 years. I was the manager of Elmwood Hobby Works where we specialized in model railroading. Ron would come in at least once a week, with his water bottle in hand, and always ask what's new. Especially if it had anything to do with Canadian National Railways. I remember the first time I saw his little empire up in his attic. I was in aw. No wonder he spent so much time there. He was a first class electrician and was always there when I had a question for him or needed work done. But most important he was a first class person and I will miss him dearly.

Knew Ron from school and the neighborhood where we grew up, he was a great guy, and we always enjoyed his company, both in class, and after school

I grew up with Ron as he and my brother, Rob, were 'brothers in trouble' and he was a constant in our household for many years. Although I hadn't seen him for several years, he will always remain in our memories as a gentle, crazy, funny character. Condolences to the family. RIP Ron.
