RIZA PETER MOHAMMED
Suddenly, but peacefully, Riza Peter Mohammed passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 at Grace Hospital, at the age of 57 years. Riza is survived by his caring and patient wife, Carole; sons Aadil and Amir; brother Raoul; neice and nephew Zanifa and Zaheer, and numerous cousins. Son of Joan and Sahid Mohammed, Riza grew up and spent his early adult life in Trinidad and Tobago but was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba and spent the last 29 years there as well. He was an active member of the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church and went to Mass every Sunday. Due to health issues he could not attend Mass the last few years but always arranged to receive communion every week. Riza’s favorite pastime was ordering pizza and watching movies with his two sons. His favorite holiday was Christmas, which always was an extravagant event of food and presents from December 23rd to 25th. The highlight of Riza’s life came when he watched both his sons cross the stage at University of Manitoba to receive their Bachelor Degrees in Commerce and Pharmacy. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church, 255 Stafford Street @ Corydon Avenue, Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Kelly Wilson, presiding. A special thanks to Eunice Synnott and the numerous family and friends that are helping Riza’s family through this rough period. Donations can be made to the St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church. Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
