MARY LOUISE LISI
July 18, 1955 – April 14, 2017
Mary Louise Carmela Lisi passed away peacefully, with her loving sister by her side, on Friday, April 14, 2017.   Remaining to cherish Mary Louise’s memory are her dad Edmondo; sister Teresa; brother-in-law Klaus; nephew Kelsey as well as her dog Enzo and family. She was predeceased by her mother Loretta.   Mary Louise or ML as her family and friends called her, was a school teacher, who throughout her career taught both children and her fellow teachers alike. ML and her team specialized in teaching and preparing lesson plans for fellow teachers on how to engage children, while effectively using computers and technology. ML’s kindness and willingness to help others shone through in all aspects of her life, be it caring for her family or helping out someone in need. ML’s kind and loving nature will be greatly missed by all her family, friends and loved ones.   Often when you would visit ML, her house would be filled with wondrous smells of meals and desserts, prepared with fresh ingredients from her garden. ML’s handmade quilts and knick-knacks always brought warmth to her home and cottage located on beautiful Lake Winnipeg.   A Come and Go Celebration of Mary Louise’s Life will be held on Friday, April 21, 2017 between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue @ Sharp Boulevard.   The family would like to thank all the staff at the Women’s Hospital HSC 5th floor for their professionalism, compassion and most of all how much they care about their patients. Thank you to Grace Cancer Care.   In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made in ML’s name to Cancer Care Manitoba, 1160 – 675 McDermot Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9 or Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg, MB R3T 0R3.   Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
