KEITH LEONARD JOHN KREUTZER

It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden death of Keith Leonard John Kreutzer on November 16, 2020 at the age of 46. Residing at Brandon, MB

Keith is survived by his mother Dawn Johnston-Kreutzer; sisters Michelle (Ryan French) and Tara (Jordan James); nephews Max and Sam French and Corbin and Kael James. He was predeceased by his father Keith D. Kreutzer.

Keith was born in Brandon, MB on May 22, 1974. He loved to explore and be out in the garden as a little one, often found chomping on a cucumber with dirt around his face. He was passionate about playing hockey as a young boy and continued to be an avid hockey fan throughout his life.

Keith was studying Business Administration at Assiniboine Community College in 1998 when he was a passenger in a serious car accident resulting in a traumatic brain injury. He spent several years in Winnipeg in the rehabilitation hospital and in a transitional living house until he was able to live on his own; Keith showed so much determination and stubbornness as he worked on his recovery. His heart remained in Brandon, the place he had planned to build his life, friends, and additional family nearby so as soon as he was able to, he moved back there. Keith spent a few years doing speaking engagements at different schools sharing his experience and warning about the dangers of drinking and driving. Keith adored his sweet dog, aptly named Precious, babies and small children. He had a great sense of humour, mischievousness and was uninhibited. He is deeply loved and missed by his family.

Funeral and Interment to be held at a later date.

Special thanks to Winnipeg City Police, Brandon City Police and Fire Department, and the Public Trustee Office.

Donations may be made to the Manitoba Brain Injury Society.
