JOHN WILLIAM (BILL) SARANCHUK
On Saturday, July 23, 2016 Bill passed away peacefully at the age of 79 years. Left to mourn Bill’s passing are his daughter Laura Lee Balkwill (Kevin Cooke); grandson Sawyer Balkwill Cooke; son Kevin Saranchuk (Chris Saranchuk); granddaughter Mandy Saranchuk (Cory Smith); great-grandchildren Devin, Callie, and Ava; and grandson Steven Saranchuk (Amanda Kaatz). He was predeceased by his son Mark; and parents William and Jessie. In his youth, Bill was a gifted all-around athlete, and enjoyed playing and watching sports of all kinds. Especially talented at baseball, he once pitched a no-hitter in AAA, and he was invited to try out for a major league team. The greatest love in Bill’s life was his wife (Doreen) Joan (Nee Balkwill). Who was taken away from him much too young (age 48) by cancer, after 20 years of marriage. In his retirement, Bill enjoyed going to the race track and the casino.
