Jason, when I think of you, I see sunshine and swimming, walking across the grass at Grandmas with your Mom, Dad and Tracy, waiting for the rest of us slowpokes to go to the dock. Your beautiful sons, Cole and Berg look so much like you, looking at them will be seeing you. May you always be wrapped in sunshine. Cole, Berg, Dave, Terry, Tracy, Michael, Camryn, my heart is broken for you.Aunty Nat and Uncle Dave.

Jason my beautiful nephew, your attributes are many Jason, but the ones that will stand out the most to me is your incredible kindness and ability to love. You were a gift and I will love you forever. See you later, love aunty Bonnie

I remember going to Winnipeg with my mother, Noreen, to meet Jason for the first time. He was just a few weeks old, so tiny and precious. I was only about 9 years old and really wanted to hold that baby, but Tracy was so over-protective of her new baby brother, that all I was allowed to do was look at him. A few years passed and Tracy finally figured out that it was okay for the cousins to hug and kiss her brother. We had the best of times out at Grandma's in Lee River, and Jason held the record for swimming the longest distance under water. Jason often talked about how he loved coming out to his parents cottage and enjoying the day on the beach with his family. I know that he is up in heaven along with my Mom and Grandma, sitting on a dock and enjoying the sun. Love you Jason!

I had the great pleasure of teaching both Tracy and Jason at Cecil Rhodes School when they were in junior high. I am saddened and grieved to learn that Jason has passed away. He was one of the nicest students I ever taught, and his bright smile and sweet nature brightened our French class every day. I remember clearly how he derived so much pleasure from helping me and his classmates, and he was an excellent student, as well. His life was a special gift to all of us, and his children were fortunate to have had such a devoted and loving father. May all of your family be comforted with beautiful memories that you will cherish forever. I will not be able to attend his memorial service, as I now live in Ontario.

Dear David, Terry and Tracy, We were so very sad to hear of Jason's passing. We know how close you are with your children, and that love has always shone from them. Jason was always such a sweetheart, and we were Blessed to have known him. As parents, we nurture and protect our children from the day they're born, and it doesn't stop as they become adults. A part of us always sees them as the child they were, and wants to hold them close. It's heartbreaking to let him go ahead of you, but he is safe with God. Be confident that he is at peace, and have faith that we will all be together again. You have the gift of his sons, who will keep him close to you, to love and hug, and share many happy memories. Our prayers are with you, Love always, Geri and Brian

Jason was a role model on the ice. He was a couple of years older than me and seeing him progress was a true inspiration. My respect and condolences to your family and friends.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Jason's family and to his two sons, I am truly sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of knowing Jason and he was such a sweet man and a truly wonderful father. You could tell his boys were the light of his life just by speaking to him and the stories he would tell. I will never forget hearing how hardily he laughed watching Berg make Kraft dinner, a bitter sweet memory I will hold dear. Amanda
