HENRY JOHN JASON

It is with great sadness our family shares the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, and great grandfather, Henry John Jason, who passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024 at Riverview Palliative Care. Dad was 95 years of age.

Dad was born on May 10, 1929 to John and Sophia in Brooklands Manitoba. His parents immigrated from the Ukraine two years earlier.

Dad became a plumber by trade. He worked for Wallaceburg Brass, Johnson Controls, and lastly becoming a civil servant for the Manitoba Government at MHRC.

In 1963 Dad married his wife Anne  Chura in Winnipeg and had two children, Andrew and Jennifer (Glen). He had four grandchildren, John (Elizabeth), Brady, Tyler, and Chloe. He had two great grandchildren, Alice and Grey.

Dad was devoted to his family; his unwavering support and generosity was second to none. He took pride in their accomplishments and was happiest being around his family.

He was a parishioner of Saint John XXIII for over 40 years, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

Dad was predeceased by his wife Anne, brother Eugene, and sister Oksana.

There will be a Requiem Mass at Saint John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue on January 8, 2025, at 1:00pm. Family gathering to follow.

Rest easy Pops, you are finally with Mom after 40 years.
