Harold (Mac) MacMartin Holroyde
You can’t define Mac by the last twenty years of his life. He was so much more than a man who suffered from Cancer, Dementia, Parkinson’s and Depression. Mac was warm and generous. He never wanted to be a bother. He was a Deke, a mechanical engineer, a loud singer, a “master” crib player, a junior provincial racquetball coach, a rugby player, a racquetballer, a banjo player, and he owed and operated Electro Systems Group Ltd. He was a father who would wear a top hat to your graduation, BBQ the largest, rarest steak at our family Sunday night dinners and was known to dance the basketball move at a wedding or racquetball banquet.
Mac didn’t want a funeral, but he would love for you to have a drink in his honour.
Thank you to Home Care, CancerCare Manitoba and the wonderful staff of 7 East at Deer Lodge Centre. We are forever grateful for your kindness, compassion and care of our dad.
We are going to miss you, Dad. Your loving family, Marci, David, Rich, Teresa, Maren, Jesse, Bronwyn, Kayleigh and Alison.
