Mom had a strong and unshakeable faith which helped carry her through good times and bad, and because of this, Gisele was very involved in her local Parish, Mary Mother of the Church, actively taking part in the first Renew and the Nathaniel Program.

Mom was born and raised on a farm in St. Leon, Mb where she would later meet Andrew while attending school there. Gisele and Andrew would marry in this same small town in 1953, eventually moving to Winnipeg to continue their journey through life together.

She started her career as a switchboard operator at St. Boniface Hospital, which was put on hold as Mom would spend many busy years raising eight children. Once the children were all in school, she continued her career as a switchboard operator at the Victoria Hospital until her retirement in 1994. After retirement, Gisele and Andrew spent eleven years overseeing a community food bank. Mom always provided unconditional love and support to all her family.

Mom’s motto in life was Live, Love, Laugh, and she wrote a book with that title describing her childhood & later years leaving a wonderful keepsake for her family to have and enjoy for many years to come.

The family wishes to send their heartfelt gratitude to the staff and Homecare workers at Lindenwood Manor for the wonderful care she received over the last five years. We would also like to thank the EMT for their compassionate care over the last few years.

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 11 at 1:00 pm at Mary Mother of the Church.
