DOROTHY CLEUGH It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Dorothy Cleugh (nee Clark) on Friday, October 10, 2014, with family at her side, at the age of 88 years. Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Barbara Blyth (Bob) of Priddis, AB, Karen Smith, Dianne Ormiston, Joan Jarvie (Ken), David Cleugh of Edmonton, AB and Warren Cleugh; their father, Peter Cleugh; 11 grandchildren, Colin and Maegan Blyth, Sarah, Andrea (Chad), Kendra and Christine Ormiston, Ashley (Steve), Valerie and Steven Jarvie, Jaclyn and Alex Cleugh; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Kenzie Blyth; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. She was predeceased by her parents, David and May Clark; brother, David Clark (Gwen); three granddaughters, Mary, Elizabeth and Sarah Jarvie, and son-in-law Richard (Dick) Smith. Dorothy was born December 9, 1925 in Montreal, Quebec. She was married in 1949 and started raising her family in 1950. The family moved between Montreal and Winnipeg finally settling in Winnipeg in 1962. She was a member of the Professional Engineers Wives Association. Dorothy enjoyed a short working career at Stage West and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet in the box offices. She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed many hours playing with her long-time friends and neighbours. She was also a great knitter and enjoyed it until her eyesight prevented any further projects. As per Dorothy’s request there will be no funeral service. A private family gathering to celebrate her life will be held a later date. If you wish, a donation may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice.
