I worked at Wilson Auto Electric with Don. My son, and brothers also worked with him. At first I was really scared of him (being a boss guy) but then found out he had the biggest heart going. Turned out he camped at Selkirk Park for many years, same place as us. Don was what you call a true friend, through thick and thin. I am very sorry to hear of this beautiful man's parting. We didn't hear about his passing until the day after his funeral otherwise we would have been there to pay our respects. Heaven got a great man, we'll miss him definitely at the park. Sorry to the family on your loss, love the Gagnons.

Carol and family - we are so very sorry to hear about Don. We arrived home late last night and got our messages this morning. We thought about you while we were away and were praying for all of you; we're sure Don is in a better place and is at peace. We are sure there are many wonderful memories of special times; we certainly have some happy memories of times spent with all of you.

I truly understand your loss and pains of sorrow. To me in my mind's eye, I see Uncle Don 40 years ago, dark hair, laughing and joking with gramma and grampa upstairs, where did the time go? Uncle Don was the kind of man that is born to this world sparingly. To his wife and sons, I know that you above everyone else, know you had been blessed with this knowledge. Uncle Don will always remain in my heart as he will in yours. A gift was given, a gift returned.

Uncle Don was a warm and caring person who loved to laugh and make others laugh. Both uncle Don and his wife (my mother's sister) aunt Carol, opened their hearts and their home to my mom when she needed help most. Uncle Don was not a big man in size, but what he carried within made him a giant. Until we meet again.
