COSIMO (SAM) FARACI Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, with Rev. Msgr. Ward Jamieson, presiding. Sam is survived by wife Joan of 38 years of marriage; two brothers Paul Faraci and Phil (Claire) Faraci; three children, Sandra Demski, of Vancouver, Sharon (Jerry) Tummillo, Phil Faraci (Pam Dueck); stepson Bob (Cher) Sawatzky; four grandchildren (two great- grandchildren); four stepgrandchildren (thirteen step-great-grandchildren); as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Phil Faraci and Madeline (Guarino); grandparents; sisters and brother-in-law, Nellie Harrap; Agnes (John) LaMonica; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Quinto (Georgette) Pagnoni; Sara Margarit; Josie (Planky) Carniato. On March 20, 1930 Sam was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, to the late Madeline and Phil Faraci. He was a beloved member of the community and a member and of the International Odd Fellows (past grand master), St. James Legion #4 and MB #1 Lodge. Sam was a loving father, husband, grandfather and friend to all.
