After retirement Barry was approached to teach a program for veterinary assistants at Robertson College, where he gained the respect of more than a few students & staff.

After his move back to Winnipeg, Barry connected with his high school crush, and they were married in August of 2003. Like the couple in a favourite tv program, ‘As Time Goes By’, Marilyn and Barry enjoyed 21 years together along with their beloved dogs, Jackson, Jaxc and Emma.
