Andrew Fitzgerald
September 22, 1983 - July 29, 2016
ANDREW GLEN FITZGERALD Andrew was born in Edmonton, Alberta on 22 Sept 1983. He was an easy going child to raise who enjoyed all the things most kids do. He loved baseball, basketball, swimming and just being outside with his friends. He was kind, sensitive and generous. We would have had a menagerie of animals in the house if he had his way. I remember being talked in to taking a second cat that was going to be drowned if he didn’t find a home. Also, even rescued a seagull between he and Bob that survived a night in our shed in an old baby bathtub! Dogs and fish were good too when the opportunity arose. He was predeceased by his grand-parents and his Uncle Robbie. Andrew is survived by his daughter, Morgan Fitzgerald, who was the love of his life; his brother, Bob Fitzgerald and mother, Elizabeth and spouse Brian Wiebe; father, Robert and his spouse, Lorelee Fitzgerald. There are many Cousins , Aunts and Uncles on both sides of the family. Andrew was born into a military family so was often moved but finally settled in Winnipeg to live. He initially worked in a variety of restaurants and was an excellent cook. He later became interested in a career as a millwright and was nearly finished his training with Manitoba Hydro. Unfortunately, he struggled with addictions and tried to work through programs but sadly lost his battle. On Friday, August 5, 2016 a Reception will be held between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. in Wojcik’s Reception Centre in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 2157 Portage Avenue @ Sharp Boulevard.
We loved him very much and will miss him dearly.
