Susan Whitehead (nee Boutilier) passed away, peacefully, surrounded by friends and family on Saturday, October 21st, 2017, at Deer Lodge Place in Winnipeg at the age of 72. Susan is survived by her only daughter, Marcia Whitehead (Toronto), her younger sister, Deborah Pidlaski (nee Boutilier) and her three children, Stephen, Mary, and Andrew, as well as her grand nephews, Mason (Mary) and Finn (Andrew). An enthusiastic Kindergarten teacher for over 25 years in the Seven Oaks School Division, Susan was an avid lover of the arts who enjoyed singing in church choirs, and regularly attended the Opera, Ballet, Theatre and Choral concerts across the city. Susan was known for her warm heart, her big smile and being the best dressed, and bejeweled mom at all of Marcia’s singing engagements. A Funeral Service will be held in Susan’s honour on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at 3pm. (*note: the clocks go back over night).
