PAUL MAURICE AYOTTE
After a lengthy illness, it is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Paul on Friday January 3, 2025 at the Golden West Lodge, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Paul is survived by his mother Carlyn Mackey of Winnipeg, his brother Michael Mackey of California, his sister Carol Anderson and brother- in- law Stewart Anderson of Winnipeg, his niece Lauren Kerr (Ryley) of Winnipeg, his nephew Jackson Anderson of Winnipeg, his aunt Genita Langlois of Quebec, his aunt Nancy Mackey of Pembroke, Ontario and his uncle and aunt Donald and Pat Mackey of Malagash Nova Scotia.
Paul was born at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg on April 11, 1959. He graduated from the Windsor Park Collegiate in 1977. He played drums in the school band, he was a goalie on the hockey team, he enjoyed travelling with the family with trailer in tow as well as bicycling and cross- country skiing. He was an enthusiastic participant in extracurricular activities with his school friends. Most importantly he struggled courageously to live his hopes and dreams as independently as possible, never losing his faith and hope in Jesus and love of his family, to the end. We love you Paul. Rest in the good, the truth and the beautiful.
Special thanks to the caring staff at Golden West Lodge, Dr. Stewart Wakeman, Clubhouse, the PACT team and Father Ray Beaudry. Thank you to Shannon at Wojcik’s funeral home and to Donna at St Guiana church.
