CRYSTAL LYN DAWSON

Peacefully, after a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, it is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Crystal Lyn Dawson on August 30th 2024, at 44 years old.

Crystal passed at the Grace Hospital surrounded by her family. She is survived by her three sons Brandon, Caleb and Memphis; sister Nicci and brother Billy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by numerous members of the Baird family, who loved her as a granddaughter and niece.

Crystal is predeceased by her Mother, Linda, and Father, William (Bill), as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.

Crystal loved being a mother and her kids were her greatest achievement. She always reiterated the importance of family. She loved elephants, reading and the ocean. Even when faced with her own death, she continued to emphasize the importance of family. If you knew Crystal, you would know Fire and Toughness were her hallmarks. Beautiful both inside and out, she made a lasting impression on the lives of so many. In both life and death she will not be forgotten.

Crystal once said:

“Life is short. There’s only one thing more precious than our time, and that’s who we spend it with.”

She understood keeping those you value close. She loved extremely deeply with a fierce loyalty and passion. We love you, Crystal, and you will be with us for the rest of our days.

The family is holding a public celebration of life for Crystal on September 13th, 2024, from 6:30-9pm at Heritage Victoria Community Club (950 Sturgeon Road) in Winnipeg.

A special thank you to those who supported Crystal with deep friendship and spent time with her at the hospital in her last weeks. Larissa, thank you so much for your friendship to Crystal. We as a family see what you did for her. The Benoit Family for supporting and growing with Crystal and surrounding her with love.

For those asking how they can help, please feel free to donate to the gofundme that has been created, as Crystal would want her boys supported in this challenging time.
